MASTERING THE ART OF MENTEESHIP

To understand service, you have to first of all serve others. Menteeship is a learning path that places the mentee on a trail of developing powerful core values. These values does not just influence the mentee, it influences everyone around the mentee. It is a step in building a legacy.

To master menteeship is to master creation process. The platform where mentee practice the learning process is created and made a reality by a mentor. The quest to know more makes the mentee to modify everything he/she is learning to an unusual creation. It is an amazing trip I have come to discover, when in the process of doing what you love doing and you are been guided by a mentor, you create things like God. Microsoft is a creation; Sony is a creation, and so on. It all starts in the mind. While the mentee explore mentoring, the totality of the mentee is involved; the intellect, will, conscience, memory and imagination. Putting the human faculties to work has to do with receiving the right data and information. The mentee acquire knowledge through the various exposures of activities and lessons taught by mentor. The modification of knowledge reveals the impact of mentoring on the mentee. This action automatically unveils a new mentor who has mastered the menteesip craft. He/she now develops a project of raising other potential mentees and potential mentors.

CORPORATE MENTEESHIP CONCEPT



In developing countries such as in Africa, mentoring is one of the most powerful practices that are gradually strengthening the entire system of the organization where it is utilized. Most of these organizations train management staff or the leaders as mentors on mentoring, and then assign these mentors to different mentees. These actions are carried out without training the mentees on how to get the best of mentoring. More so, some of the mentees find it difficult to open up to some of the mentors which makes the process a lot difficult for some organizations. This one way training does not really maximize the mentoring practice.

The Concept of the Corporate Menteeship is looking at mentoring from the Mentee perspective, where mentees are also trained, basically, on How To Attract a Mentor (HTAM), Getting The Best of Mentoring (GTBM), Knowing the benefits of mentoring they are getting into, understanding the psychology of a mentor, ideas behind mentoring, realizing amazing leverage that mentoring brings in every sphere of the mentee’s life. The mentee is made to go into a learning relationship in a class without walls.

The Concept of Corporate Menteeship simply depicts the idea that two cannot walk together unless they agree. That agreement brings each individual’s synergy to a point of a great team of mastermind. The mentee then modifies on the mentor’s teachings, practices, toward a surge in performance to an unusual climax of sustainable growth and lasting change.

The Corporate Menteeship Concept reveals the path in which a mentee transforms to being a mentor. The concept is a tool that is revolutionizing organizations in Africa towards raising mentors. Mentors that ensure a network of greatness beyond her generation. Mentoring has changed my life. Give it a boost in your organization, family, community, state, and your nation.

HOW TO ATTRACT A MENTOR (HTAM)

Every day is a great day! The Corporate Menteeship is a transformational product aimed at influencing and strengthening Mentoring in the Corporate World, especially in a place like Africa where Mentoring is less practiced. It is focused on How To Attract a Mentor (HTAM) and How to Get the best from a Mentor. I concentrate my facilitation and training from the Mentee perspective. Being a mentee is a conscious act, to unconscious learning pattern which leads the mentee to a Learning path. The path of a great mentee is like what Robert Frost refers to as the road less travelled, but it is such path that raised the greatest men of this Age. The Corporate Menteeship product was launched at a National Youth Convention on the 14th August, 2010 in Lagos, Nigeria. It got participant so excited and were longing to approach someone to get started with Mentoring. The HTAM also place emphasis on Family, Community and other Local project around Africa, so as to raise people who will not only be successful but leave a Legacy in Africa and beyond.

The Corporate Menteeship will go a long way in strengthening the Corporate organizations and also give birth to new corporations that will leave through generations transforming families, communities and the nation in which it is practiced.

CHANGE BEGINS WITH ONE PERSON...

When I was young, I wanted to change the world.
I found it was difficult to change the world,
So I tried to change my nation.
When I found I couldn’t change my nation I began to focus on my town.
